DAEKI and JUN is a design agency founded in 2014 in Seoul by Daeki Shim and HyoJun Shim, based on the experience they gained in London and New York. DAEKI and JUN offers a range of design projects and consulting services across diverse fields, including commercial BRANDING (IDENTITY) designs, exhibitions, performances, and events. DAEKI and JUN delivers creative, unique design solutions tailored to the specific needs and characteristics of each project. DESIGN AWARDS
DAEKI and JUN’s design projects have earned over 100 awards at prestigious international design competitions. Notably, the studio won the GRAND PRIX at the Red Dot Award in Germany, competing against more than 8,000 entries from over 50 countries. The studio also received multiple GOLD and SILVER awards, including the PLATINUM award at the New York Graphis Awards, as well as the TYPOGRAPHIC EXCELLENCE award from the New York Type Directors Club (TDC). Furthermore, DAEKI and JUN were honored with the JURY’S CHOICE award, and 11 of their projects were selected as part of the BEST 100 GRAPHIC DESIGN PROJECTS of THE YEAR at the Chicago STA100 (2016-2023).

DESIGN CONSULTANT & JURY
DAEKI and JUN, based on their expertise in the field of design, has participated in various judging and advisory activities. They have contributed to prestigious design evaluations, including serving as a juror for the globally renowned design awards such as the New York Graphics Poster Awards 2025 and 2019, the Golden Bee 13th: International Graphic Design Biennale 2018, and exhibitions connected to the Beijing International Design Week.

Additionally, DAEKI and JUN has contributed to the advancement and expansion of design by serving as an evaluator for the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) Sustainable Design Products and Services Market Expansion Support Project 2024 and the DDP Design Launch Fair 2024. They have also been an active member of judging panels for the DDPBrand Overseas Exhibition and Market Expansion Project 2023, Seoul Design Product Contest 2019, DDP Product Design Awards 2019, and the 6th Seoul Symbolic Souvenir Contest 2018.

Furthermore, DAEKI and JUN played a crucial role as a planning and operation committee member for the DDP Design Fair 2019 and as a selection committee member for the DDP Designers for Maison & Objet France 2018. Lastly, they have contributed to the development of the design field as an advisory member for the Seoul Metropolitan Government Standard Plaque and Award Certificate Design Development 2024 and the DDP Design Collection 2019.
